Homebound ANG "Rainbow Team" A-10Cs caught at Decimomannu

By Joachim Jacob, Warthog News Editor

Surprisingly, on their way back home to Continental United States (CONUS) the 18 A-10Cs of the ANG "Rainbow Team" which was recently combat-deployed for Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) to the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, made a stopover at Decimomannu Air Base, Sardinia, Italy.

At Decimomannu they were caught by different aviation photographers. The following pictures has been published on AWTI-DECIMO.COM (DECIMOMANNU AIR BASE UNOFFICIAL SITE). It seems like all of these shots were taken by Massimo Pieranunzi, owner of that site.
