ANG "Rainbow Team" A-10Cs returned home from Afghanistan deployment

By Joachim Jacob, Warthog News Editor

According to Scramble and personal contacts, the 18 A-10Cs of the ANG "Rainbow Team", recently combat-deployed for six months to the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) returned to Continental United States (CONUS).

Posted on Scramble: Twelve A-10s returned from Lajes to the USA today (OCT 16) as Trend 31 and Trend 41 flight.

Posted by Jared Soergel on Warthog News's Facebook page: Rainbow Team is back in the USA! TREND 31 and 41 both to Martin State. TREND 11 went on further, maybe all the way home to Arkansas.

Please note: At least up to the moment I don't get any photo coverage of their stopover at Lajes AB, Azores. May be 188th Fighter Wing or 175th Wing will release some arrival pictures in the next couple of days.
