451st AEW support Kandahar Air Wing open house

KANDAHAR AIR WING, Afghanistan -- An A-10 Thunderbolt II pilot speaks to an interested event attendee during the 2012 Kandahar Air Wing Open House at Kandahar Air Wing, Afghanistan, Jan. 1, 2012. The 451st Air Expeditionary Wing supported the open house by having an MQ-9 Reaper and an A-10 Thunderbolt II static display for Afghan locals to see and ask questions about. Note: Pictured in the background is A-10C 81-0965 from the 81st Fighter Squadron, 52nd Fighter Wing (USAFE), Spangdahlem AB, Germany. The A-10C pilot is called BUBBLES on his name patch (probably his personal callsign), and due to the checkerboard design of the A-10 logo he's deployed from the 107th Fighter Squadron, 127th Wing (Michigan ANG), Selfridge ANGB.
